What you'll get AS A RESCUE TEAM

This will be an experience to rival all other adventure races.

It'll come as no surprise that an event of this scale will come with a couple of costs. The good news for your team is that it comes with a whole host of stuff for you on the day.
  • Team entry into the race – 6 people INCLUDING 2 FEMALES
  • Welcome pack containing dedicated training information & programme
  • A detailed fundraising guide and how to achieve your $5000 fundraising target
  • Rescue Run race bib
  • Pre-race transport from Parakai Springs to start line
  • Burger & a drink for all contestants when you finish the race
  • Full access to Parakai Springs to shower, change, swim & relax

For tackling the course, each team will be equipped with:
  • Matching helmets
  • A gurney
  • First aid kit
  • Race bibs
  • Rope
  • A specially designed GPS-locator app

Remember, the registration fee ($2500+GST) is for your whole team, so when you divide that up between the six of you it's absolutely worth the cost!

RESCUE RANGERS

As a rescue team of six, here’s a few fun ideas for 'team roles' that you could play on the day.

Whether in the office or on the sports field, assigning the right member to the task at hand is vital. Pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses of your crew from the beginning and be ready!

**Team roles are NOT mandatory**  The below are simply a fun suggestion to get you into the spirit of being a real emergency life-saving team.  The only mandatory role is Team Captain, for communications before the event & representation on the day.

**Just make sure you've got two females on your team!

Team captain

As their title implies, the Team Captain takes the role of the leader who motivates his/her crew through tough spots making key decisions on the course.

Chief navigator

The Chief Navigator is put in the unique position of orienteering the group. In charge of the 4G handset and emergency locator application to locate and rescue the patient early in the course, they then manage the team's direction as the day progresses.
Picture

First Aid officer

The First Aid Officer carries first aid kit and is responsible for care and treatment of the team. From the start they're tasked with patient care, team well being and the overall safety of the Rangers as they tackle the obstacles ahead.

Equipment Sergeant

The Equipment Sergeant will be responsible for the carrying and management of event course equipment and specialty items. From ropes to the gurney, you have to finish the course as you started so your Equipment Manager had better be prepared.

Recon scout

Your Recon Scout is a forward operations reconnaissance and intelligence specialist, reporting on geographic characteristics and challenges of the path ahead. Scouted another team struggling up ahead? Your Recon Scout needs suggest alternate action or you'll get caught too.

Field operator

The Field Operator is a Jack of all trades. They're designated to always be formulating strategic ways your team can get ahead on the course. Don't dismiss this job, it might just be one of the most unique roles on race day!
