About UsMaking a difference in our communities’ time after time... Coastguard is the charity saving lives at sea, maintaining an infrastructure right around the coasts and on the major lakes of New Zealand to ensure we are there when kiwis need us the most. 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, whether launching in one of the strategically located rescue vessels, taking to the skies in our search aircraft, or providing vital information and coordination from the Operations Centre, our volunteers will do everything they can to save a life. In addition to this we work hard to provide a range of safety information and services to help kiwis get the best out of their time on the water safely.

What we do |
Our brave volunteers risk a lot to save the life of another. We can’t train them for this - their dedication to the cause comes from within. However, we can make sure that they have the right tools, the right equipment, and the very best skills to do the job - this is where your support is so important.
By taking part in Rescue Run 2018, you will be raising essential funds for Coastguard and will become part of our life saving chain, bringing Kiwi’s safely home to their whānau each year. |
